Thank you for including this detail on your blog - it is just the answer to the research I needed! Every now and then I get a request to make a set of bespoke shirts for women. I am making 12 for an executive client at the moment, and she has requested the butterfly detail. Although I am familiar with this re-enforcing detail I was not sure of the shape. I will probably refine the pentagon slightly, and very glad I was able to find the solution so quickly.
Many thanks.

thanks for your comments on our blog. My post was not clear since what I meant was about technology for capturing and storing the measurement and sales. All our shirts are hand made but we did consider body scanners which are automatic but did not proceed. I have changed this to make it more clear.

Jeff, thanks for popping by our blog again, and thank you for your comments on the bespoke shirts. These were produced to a very specific design from our client. Of course, the collars are sans-interlining as they are meant to be soft-roll button down so as you say they do appear floppy as they are. Fear not, these collars look great when worn

I'm sure the button unders will look better when worn. They always look a little floppy folded up. The high collar does look great when worn as long as the person is at least 5'9" or so.

Hi Jeff - we can take a similar amount of measurements, all depends what the client wants from his shirt

I really like you site. You guys seem to know your way around bespoke shirts.

In the US I make custom shirts out of Seattle. I take 16 measurements to create my customers' sizes. How many measurements go into a bespoke shirt? Or is that something you cannot quantify given that each customer is different?

Jeff, good advice there. There are certainly more options than white to wear with Black and silver is a stylish alternative

I like the idea of a tan shirt to go with a lot of sport coats and blazers when putting together an earthtone ensemble. When going black I suggest a silver shirt to lighten it up.
